Greetings hack and slash fans, and gamers alike! Do you like a good slice of gun play in your games? Coupled with a hefty amount of sword fighting? stringing combos together and juggling you enemies till they are a bloody mess? Do you like summoning demons that can rain down on your foes and munching them down like some proverbial giant twix? Do yo also like witches?
If all the answers are either yes, hell yes or god yes then I will introduce you to Bayonetta!
She is a witch who posses all her magical power in her hair. Sounds a bit crazy I know, but it gets worse. The clothes that she is wearing is actually in fact her hair wrapped around her body to form clothes. Again as I said sound a little crazy if you ask me she has the ability to summon huge demons, these in fact are her hair follicles taking the form of said demons. Sounds odd but believe me looks awesome check this out:

That Demon she summons about 1 minuet 13 in was her hair. Looks pretty damn impressive if you ask me.
Now more about her and the weapons she can wield: To start off bayonetta has four double barreled revolvers. Like Nero’s blue rose form DMC 4 but four of them. Two for each hand and the other two strapped to her stilettos. Again sounding crazy but opens up a world of amazing gun combos, as you probably saw in that movie at about 36 seconds in she was doing cart whees in mid air while shooting the guns from her boots. This gives combo abilities that DMC couldn’t of pulled off. Bayonetta also has been see wielding a shot gun and a rocket launcher.
As for melee weapons, again the game play movie above gives us an in site of how they may work. If you skip to around 55 seconds in you ca see her wielding an axe similar to the enemy she just defeated, meaning like DMC again you will probably be able to get melee weapons off of significant bosses/enemies. There has also been evidence of bayonetta wielding a glowing whip and two handed katana.
So to me this game is shaping up to be quite an epic hack and slash game. And why am I comparing it to dmc?
Because one of the lead designers Behind bayonetta is the man who created DMC. He has partnered up with Sega and platinum games to give us bayonetta. So expect allot of similarities between the two games.

To me bayonetta looks a bit more cheesy than DMC does and i can see her voice getting a tad annoying,but with the story, her voice an the image of a dominatrix Secretary out of the way the core game play of this game is set to be in the same league as DMC. And this i am looking forward too.
Bayonetta will be hitting the Xbox 360 and PS3 this November!
