I feel a bit ashamed really. I now have moved back home and all I have done on this site is one review. Time to put a stop to this!
This September sees the next installment in the popular Halo franchise. Another FPS but this time not with master chief but with a new protagonist.

The as yet named character is apart of a unique band of specialist marines known as the Orbital drop Shock Troopers (ODST) These guys are brought into new territory to eliminate enemy threat. You may remember the mission in halo 2 called delta halo where the chief was dropped on the new halo ring with the ODST.
Known for their bravery and cunning the ODST or “hell Jumpers” aren’t built like the chief, so this game will implore you to take a more stealthy approach to the game, making good use of cover and taking you enemy by surprise.
So what of the campaign? This game is set on earth just after the events of New Mombasa in Halo 2. You are Dropped in to sort out the hostile situation in the city. But your character somehow is dropped else where in the city and you have to find your team mates, while trying to survive the covenant horde. Apparently the game is going to take a less linear approach to the campaign mode in the previous halo games, leaving the player to make the choice of where to go next.

Halo would not be halo with a good slice of multiplayer action. Halo 3: ODST does not skimp out, and will ship with all the halo 3 maps to date including the heroic, legendary and mythic map packs . It will also include forge mode and all the other multiplayer so its pretty much identical to what is on halo 3 now.
So is halo ODST going to bring anything new to the multiplayer experience? The game will be introducing a new game mode called Fire Fight. This is reminiscent of Gears of war 2′s horde mode. You have a set amount of lives and kill oncoming waves of enemies simple as that really.

Halo ODST is set to come to English shores in September. I will be keeping my eyes peeled.
Garv!
