Yesterday saw the Plus XP team in full force hit the MCM expo at the Excel center in London. After wading through a sea of cos-players and half the team being engulfed by the Evilness that is the London Expo ticket line, we finally managed to go in and get our hands on some gaming.

A guide to modern day suffrage for the female gamer I am not a Bra burning feminist or a nun. My childhood role model was Lara Croft and given the choice between short shorts or jeans the skimpier option will always win with me. For years I have enjoyed titles such as Soul Caliber, Tekken and Street fighter where my chosen character for somewhat unfathomable reasons frequently chooses a bikini as their prime outfit for combat, and it has never [...]
This Friday I will possibly be giggling like a school girl and running round in circles excitedly. Why? Well because, the Plus XP team will start turning up in London for an awesome weekend at the MCM Expo at the Excel.
Yes that’s right people, Plus XP has launched its official podcast to all you gamers out there. As a side note, we are still working out some kinks, so there maybe some bits lost here and there, (yes the intro is missing, and the cast may be in 2 parts) but that’s the joys of Pod Casting. So look at this Pilot as a Beta. In this Episode we highlight motion controls and how they are taking over the gaming [...]

The gaming world every week has something new and exciting to announce, whether it’s the latest scoop on games such as Halo Reach or Mario Galaxy 2, or the latest developments on things like Project Natal and the 3DS. But last week shock and horror hit me like a proverbial brick to the face, as I heard, that finally, after its 10 year reign of [...]
The MCM Expo in London is famous for its cosplay. This time last year I was shamefully unaware of this fact, and strangely enough it was ten minutes in Canning Town tube station which enlightened me. Traveling into the city was surreal on that crisp October morning. As I stepped off of the train to make my change for the Jubilee line I felt like I had entered a different world. The usual depressing reality of the dark dusty station [...]
I like to think I have a fairly varied taste in gaming genres. I’ll play a mainstream Racer or FPS, as well as the nerdy RPGs and Strategy. What you consider mainstream or niche is a post for another time, but what this is leading to is my relationship with online gaming. I grew up with mostly single player games and very few occasions when I could get mates around to have that all important 2 player game of Mario [...]
The wind picked up, the blue light became a blue sky only punctuated by cloud. The feeling of falling is both terrifying and incredible. Fear of the moment, wonder at the experience of force and…relief in knowing that death will be painful but brief. I looked down. There was tower of immense size and structure sticking out of the ground like it was giving the world a great defiant middle finger. Babel had nothing on this construction of iron and [...]
