I was already waiting for him when they walked in from a hard day’s work. As they entered, I made sure to jump out and shout surprise as loud as I could. Waking up a couple of hours later with a sore head, I awoke to find Rob (Garvaos) and GuitarGirl standing over me.

As we are fast approaching Eurogamer 2010 I thought it would be cool to do a sort of mini flashback to what Eurogamer 2009 was like and what there is to do at these things for people who haven’t been to the Expo, come one, lets face it we were all Eurogamer Expo virgins at one time in our lives.
The 3rd person shooting genre for me is a hard genre to get around. I have always been brought up with FPS games. So when seeing the camera behind the protagonist as opposed to seeing the whole game through a first person view in a shooting game it feels a bit strange for me. With that said I have grown a custom to the 3rd person shooter when I played Gears Of War. That game brought a whole new breed [...]
One of the current “rumours” going around is the PSP2. The reason I put rumours in quotation marks there was because “Something that everyone knows is going to happen and devs have got their hands on and are making games for it but we have to stupidly refer to it as a rumour because no-one has actually officially announced it” was a bit too long to repeatedly refer to and hilariously pointless to abbreviate into acronyms. So yeah, back to [...]
Worth all the bloody hard work? How far would you go for a promotional copy before its release? Would you endure hours of tedious Queuing? How many miles would you travel out of your way? Perhaps you would partake in a painful chilli eating contest? Or even a day of political protesting? Well one Zombie themed protest later and I was not only the cure party’s new poster girl (Don’t believe me, see here) but I also had my very [...]
Kingdom Hearts is one of my favourite series, comprising so far of two main titles, and three handheld – Birth By Sleep being the latest of the latter. While KH1 and 2 were great games, the handheld titles (Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days) felt as though they lacked as individual games – they were playable, of course, and enjoyable in some aspects, but mainly they worked as components that fleshed out the Kingdom Hearts backstory and more than likely [...]
Me being the first person shooter nut I am, I am always looking for the latest FPS game that is on the horizon. Now Brink has been announced for god knows long and I have been here sitting on my butt talking about Duke Nukem and Halo, which are already well established and damn good FPS franchises. Even though those games are what everyone is still talking about, I think now would be a good opportunity to look at a [...]
When most people think of the month of October, the first things that comes to their heads is most likely Halloween. That time near the end of the month where people dress up, have parties, get drunk or go on sweet raids (age dependant of course) but if you were to ask a gamer in London what the month of October meant to them, you would probably get a different answer.
OK, my post the other day was somewhat interested in the idea of a new DmC. The idea that Capcom, even alongside Ninja Theory, could continue upon the franchise and hopefully answer some of the many questions that were left open in DMC4. Why did Nero look so much like a Son of Sparda? What really happened to Vergil, and what was his connection with Nero? And would Dante ever hook up with Lady? (OK that last one wasn’t really [...]
Devil May Cry for me has to be one of the best game franchises out there. Devil May Cry 3 being the very title to get me into the hack and slash genre and indeed the best title of the series in my opinion, that particular game had one of the most bad ass protagonists I had ever seen, plus an amazing battle system and a really good story line that had Dante’s Devine Comedy over tones mixed with good [...]
