Back in February last year I got a copy of Bayonetta for my birthday, I had previously had hands on previews with the game back at 2009’s Eurogamer Expo and I adored the game play, it was like playing Devil May Cry 3 for the first time, the sheer variety of weapons and moves coupled with the great visuals made for a great game. Unfortunately the story and the game’s protagonist didn’t cut the mustard with me, however I persisted [...]

Ever since I moved to London about two years ago my friends and gaming contacts have been building up. The first week I lived in in englands capital I joined the DS London meet. A Meet up for DS gamers which happened once a fortnight in a pub in London where we would drink and play DS. DS London is a fantastic community of people who are always welcoming new gamers to their community. This week they let me join [...]

Ok if you have been keeping up with Plus XP you will know full well now that I absolutely love everything Halo. I have been a fan of this game since its first game back in on the original Xbox, or X Brick as I liked to call it back then. My first taste of Halo came about when I was round my mates house playing multiplayer split screen. We were playing split screen death match and we chose a [...]

When I was younger, I used to love each opportunity I got to go down to the local bowling ally. Was it because I loved Bowling that much? Maybe. But what really got my juices going was the classic arcade machines. I adored them, even though I didn’t have that much money as a kid (and I don’t actually have that much money now) I would love to pump 50p pieces into games such as House Of The Dead, Time [...]

As you probably know by now, when it comes to the Devil May Cry  series, both myself and Leon love the whole franchise, I was bitten by the DMC bug when Leon bought me Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition for my birthday donkey’s years ago. So when the news hits of a new Devil May Cry game we jump for joy. Lately though the latest outing for the devil hunter Dante, Devil May Cry 4, missed the mark a [...]

The Nintendo Wii has gone from strength to strength ever since its release back in November 2006. It has captivated casual gamers and some of the hardcore elite in many different ways, it has even brought families together and has appealed to all ages, even the over 50′s. With its more interactive approach to gaming as a whole it has sparked off all sorts of ideas in the games industry such as Playstation move and Microsoft’s Kinect. It has literally [...]

As many of you will be aware the Eurogamer convention, which just so happens to be the highlight of the PlusXp calendar, is fast approaching. In order to prepare myself I have been downloading Xbox 360 demos of prequels for a small selection of the games which will feature at the event, as well as taking the liberty to write up little summaries of each. Now please bear in mind that, because what I played were demos, and in many [...]

There have been a couple of FPS games that I have sworn by ever since I was bitten by the shooter bug. Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem and Halo are the main games that I love coming back too, but there has been one game that has been buried in my game collection which I have been meaning to come back to for a good while now, and that is the first Serious Sam game, Serious Same: First Encounter. The title [...]

When it comes to FPS games there are only a few titles that stand out as the best of the best in my opinion. Halo (obviously), the original Unreal games, Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem and Timesplitters. I love my Sci-Fi shooters and with the recent rebirth of Duke Nukem and with Id’s upcoming RAGE, I’m starting to wonder something… Where the heck is the next instalment of Timesplitters?

[This article has been updated with the Sega Announcements from yesturday and the Big announcement that went live at midnight last night.] About a month ago I gave the gaming public a brief insight into the latest announcements that had surfaced for the Eurogamer expo 2011.
