This April sees the release of what could quite possibly be the greatest DC fighting game created. Nether Realm studios, the creators of the iconic Mortal Kombat franchise are the minds behind this project which puts some of DC’s most loved characters into epic battles.

Regular readers of Plus XP may remember a post by Leon and myself highlighting our dream characters for Injustice. So far the score stands and Garvaos 1 Leon Nil with the recent announcement of Lex Luthor. If you’re not up to date on the full Injustice character roster then here is a list of all the officially announced characters:

One of the original members of the Justice League of America, Aquaman is King of the city of Atlantis. With the ability to control the sea and all of its creatures you will have a job to match Aquaman’s power

A Venom fueled powerhouse Bane is one of Batman’s long standing enemies. With superhuman strength and immense intellect to match Bane is a force to be reckoned with.

Everyone’s favourite Dark Knight comes to Injustice locked and loaded with a large arsenal of gadgets to vanquish his foes. It wouldn’t be a DC game without Batman.

Black Adam

Before the days of Shazam there was Black Adam. The original champion of Magic. Rather than using the powers bestowed on him for good, Black Adam used them for evil. The wizards imprisoned Black Adam and Crowned Shazam the new Champion of Magic. Now Black Adam is back to take his crown and will go to many lengths to take his title back.

Selina Kyle comes to Injustice all claws blazing as Catwoman. Armed with her whip and a small array of gadgets this cat is a hard one to catch.

With his body parts replaced by advanced prosthetics Cyborg has a vast array of weaponry and super human strength to boot. Get on the wrong side of Cyborg and you are asking for trouble.

Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke is a Mercenary you would never want to cross paths with. He has immense skill with all types of weaponry and is an martial arts expert. Once Deathstroke has you in his sights don’t count yourself lucky.

Doomsday was born thousands of years ago during Krypton’s past. A mad alien scientist performed experiments on a infant child in order to create the the perfect lifeform to withstand Krypton’s hellish prehistoric environment.  What he created was a killing machine bent of destruction, who is considered as one of Superman’s greatest foes.

The Flash

Dubbed the fastest man on earth, The Flash uses is immense speed to his advantage when it comes to combat. If you think you are fast at something no doubt The Flash will be faster.

Green Arrow

An expert archer and highly skilled in martial arts and sword fighting, The Green Arrow takes no prisoners. With his collection of different types of arrow, green arrow has the potential to take his opponent out in no time.

Green Lantern

Being a intergalactic policeman is never an easy job, especially when you have a ring which can wield the green light of will power.  Hal Jordan is one of the most powerful Green Lanterns in existence and crossing paths with this intergalactic policeman is never a good idea.

Harley Quinn

The Joker’s right hand girl Harley Quinn is a psychopath who wouldn’t pass up any opportunity to shoot any unsuspecting innocent in the face. According to Harley whatever Joker says is gospel.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl are the present day reincarnations of an ancient Egyptian prince and his lover. Hawkgirl’s spirit is bent on revenge and both her and the ancient prince were brutally murdered by the Sorcerer Hath-Set. Kitted out with wings alongside Nth armour and weaponry, Hawkgirl will stop at nothing to get revenge.

Batman’s arch nemesis and the DC universe’s ultimate super villain, the Joker is possibly the most psychotic human being in comic history. With his arsenal of Joker themed gadgets and a mentally deranged intellect the Joker has to be the most feared of the Injustice roster.

Lex Luthor

Arch nemesis to Superman, Lex Luthor is hell bent on bringing down the man of steel. With his cryptonian powered war suit Lex Luthor has the strength to take down even the most powerful of superheroes.

Dick Greyson, formally known as Robin decided to leave the Robin suit behind and become Nightwing. An unstoppable superhero who has access to the latest gadgets and weaponry. With acrobatic skill under his belt as well Nightwing makes a worthy addition to the Injustice roster.

Half human, half interdimensional demon, Raven is a prominent member of the Teen Titans. All her life Raven has been taught to control her emotions as they are the key to her power, meaning her violent mood swings are a force to be reckoned with.

Captain Marvel AKA Shazam is a man who has been bestowed with magical powers including flight, lightening abilities, super strength and super speed. With this arsenal of super powers some say that Shazam is unstoppable.

Once dubbed the greatest Green Lantern ever, Sinestro taught Hal Jordan the ways of the Green Lantern Corps. After creating a yellow Power Ring using the power of fear, Sinestro was expelled from the Corps. Now raising a Corps of his own, Sinestro has harnessed the power of fear and will stop at nothing to destroy the Green Lantern Corps and take over the universe.

Solomon Grundy

If you were to mix the Incredible Hulk with a zombie you would probably get Solomon Grundy. This leviathan of a creature has been resurrected so many times and has come up against so many superheroes it’s surprising he hasn’t taken over the world yet.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s possibly the most recognisable DC character next to Batman. The man of steel plays a huge part in the Injustice storyline and no DC roster should be without him.

Wonder Woman

Armed with her Lasso of Truth and a variety of weapons the Amazonian known as Wonder woman is a great addition to the Injustice roster. With super human strength and resistance to magic, defeating her would be no easy feat.

As you can see the roster for Injustice: Gods Among Us is shaping up nicely. Lets hope more additions of out dream roster will be added.

I would have to disagree, I have to opt for the Joker, there’s no better combo than laughing at your victims while killing them. As is quoted by the man himself, there is no slaughter without laughter.

      • Garvaos says:

As much as I love The Joker and being the Green Lantern nut I am gonna have to go with Sinestro. I mean don’t get me wrong The Joker is amazing, but Sinestro wields the power of fear and has his own corps … ouch.

Mind you if the Joker get a yellow power ring we are all F!”$%£.

        • Private Justin and his Privates says:

Absolutely agreed, especially having the power to create anything out of thin air can be quite terrifying especially if its meant with the intention to being your next worst nightmare. Either way, I still tend to opt for the villains rather than the heroes, they have all the fun gadgets!
