Who Are We?
We are the gamers out there who love talking about games, but we don’t really like the sounds of our own voices so we write about them instead. We are those guys on your Xbox Live Friends list or one of your PlayStation network contacts who is always up for a game of something. We play games for the fun of it, and don’t plan to stop gaming any time soon.
We love to write about games, and we love for you to read about them. So if you have any opinions or just wanna chat drop us an e-mail at theteam@plusxp.com, or if you want to contact a staff member in particular you can scroll down to find their E-Mail.
You can even follow us on Twitter or head on over to Facebook and check out our Facebook Page.
So who are the Plus XP team?
I look back at what gaming has done for me over the years and I can safely say that, for me, gaming is a part of everyday life, and has been for the best part of 15 years or so. I have played them all, Mega Drive and PC games right through to the Xbox 360 we know and love today.
I am a keen First Person Shooter player, its what I mainly grew up with. But I do love to get into a great 3rd person action like Devil May Cry, or just wreak havoc in an open world, like Liberty City for instance.
Writing about games for me is like that addiction you get to, when you have played a game and cannot stop playing because it’s that damn good. So I am happy to be here doing this.

I’m a huge fan of gaming, having lived and breathed games since I was a child. Over the years I’ve amassed a wide taste in games and experienced some real works of art, and complete trainwrecks. I own a PS3, Xbox 360 and a Wii.
I like to review games that are both new and old – I dont like to see old games going forgotten when they’re still good! I’m a big fan of Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy and Castlevania. Generally my favourite genre’s are RPG’s and Hack ‘n’ Slash titles – I grew up with platformers like Sonic, but they don’t make ‘em like they used to!
It’s good to be here, I hope you enjoy reading my articles as much as I enjoy writing them.

As you’ve probably guessed by the name, I’m a big fan of music based gaming. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say that I’m the undefeated champion of these games or anything, but most people who have seen me play (sometimes for 6 solid hours or more) would tell you that I truly am a Rock-Hero addict.
My passion for gaming started playing GTA, Cool boarders, The original Spyro the dragon, Tomb raider, Goldeneye, Zelda, and Final fantasy VII, later including (quite embarrassingly) the KONAMI dancing stage series. I’m not sure my tastes have matured much since then, but recent favorites of mine have been Bioshock, Viva Pinata, Soulcaliber IV and of course GH3.
Though I throughly enjoy all types of games, over the last few years I have grown addicted to both the Rock Band and Guitar hero series. My first love is of course my beloved plastic guitar, but my ability to play and enjoy all instruments has lead to my reputation as a true one woman virtual band. I am therefore happy to become your ‘Go to girl’ for all the news and updates on this loud and proud gaming revolution, as well as trying all the other new releases I can get my hands on. Wherever I am able to prise them off the boys of course.

Since 5, Edward has been a Gamer. Starting off with the Game Boy, N64 and PC, he slowly became obsessed with Videogames. It started off with Nintendo and Monkey Island, then it slowly grew into a massive love of videogames generally. Though, Monkey Island and Nintendo still hold a special place in his heart.
Edward also has an obsession with comedy, and like videogames and music, finds inspiration from and loves a wide variety of things. He has been writing for about 5 years on various projects. It started with scripts, but since then, has mostly been about videogames, such as rants, reviews, and repeated attempts at starting a webcomic. Generally, He’s happy writing vaguely comical things about videogames on the internet.
He has some pretty strong and strange opinions about a lot of things, and he’s very good at arguing his side. He has a near encyclopedic knowledge of videogames, which one day will come in useful. At least he hopes. He’s also had an award winning radio show about videogames at his University, which so far has run for 2 series.
Consider Edward the go-to guy for Nintendo and Point and Clicks as well as writing and humour in videogames.
Otherwise, he can be found at his own blog Life’s A Game (http://jokesound.wordpress.com/), on Twitter (@jokesound) or writing for GamingLives (http://www.gaminglives.com/author/edward/).

Sometimes there is just too much info out in the gaming world for the staff to handle. So we bring in the contributors, these guys post under the account PlusXP and will give their own in site into games, do some previews, do some reviews or just talk for a bit to fill the post count. Don’t worry though the talking will be about games.
