When the original release of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (or MvC3) was first announced I was pretty excited. It couldn’t have come out at a better time either as my love for fighters was in full swing (and it still is) and my love for Marvel comics was growing bigger.I was glued to every single announcement that was released but when the game finally came out, I felt a bit underwhelmed.
It wasn’t long ago that I listed Marvel vs Capcom 2 as one of my all-time favourite fighters - and with a decade of memories, it seemed unlikely we’d ever be seeing a sequel. However, that all changed suddenly, and we were greeted with an announcement that put fighting-game fans in excited uproar – Marvel vs Capcom 3 would be coming to consoles, and it wasn’t even that far off. After a few rounds of playing a build of the game at [...]
While there’s always plenty of news to go around, sometimes there’s information that’s just not quite enough to fulfill the requirements of a full article. So today, I thought I’d give you a round-up of many little bits of information floating around the gaming universe that may be of interest… Alice: Madness Returns A sequel to creepy cult PC title American McGee’s Alice, Alice: Madness Returns is an upcoming sequel set in the world of Alice in Wonderland – albeit [...]
In light of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 coming out on friday here in the UK. I felt like shoving the acronym MvC into Plus XP to see what I cam up with, and here you have it a post back from September 2009, so am I glad MvC3 finally came out. Can I get a resound hell yes! Sequels That I Would Love To See In recent years when I have looked at games, I have been looking mainly at [...]
Leon: Seeing as it’s less than two weeks till Marvel vs Capcom 3′s release, me and Garv are getting a little bit twitchy. Looking to be one of the greatest fighters released since Street Fighter IV – which is still going strong – MvC3 brings the clash between Marvel and Capcom back from its decade-long hiatus and makes room for the latest and greatest from both sides. So to keep our fingers busy (as opposed to the usual practice of staring [...]
Two year ago I really got into fighting games. Before then I was dipping in and out of things like Tekken and Soul Caliber but not really getting a feel for them. It wasn’t till about two years ago I picked up Street Fighter IV and though I would have a go. I got hooked and I love Street Fighter more than ever as a fighting game. About a month or so ago one of my friends at work started [...]
Welcome one and all to 2011. The year before the next olympics, and the year after the last world cup and indeed the year for some awesome video games. Last year saw some great titles released, some fantastic expo’s and some seriously good experiences for the team and indeed the site as a whole. We got a new writer, some new contributors, and some great new friends. So 2010 for us was an epic year. Here is hoping it just [...]
It’s been a little while since I last wrote about Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, but I’ve been closely keeping track of the news, so now I can present you something a little more substantial. So what’s the latest news?
If you’ve read my previous articles, you’ll probably know that I’m eagerly awaiting the new iteration of the Marvel vs Capcom series. With the announced roster currently standing at 22 (with Albert Wesker, Tron Bonne, Spiderman and X-23 being the latest), an interview with Seth Killian revealed that we’ve actually only seen around half of the roster – meaning we’re looking at something around a whopping 40+ characters in the finished article. So yesterday we were finally able to get [...]
So far, there’s been nothing but pleasing news about my most anticipated fighter *ever*, Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Mixing some classic characters with very welcome newcomers, the roster we knew so far contained Capcom’s Ryu, Chris Redfield, Morrigan, Felicia and Dante, and also Marvel’s Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, Deadpool, and Captain America. They were off to a good start, and since then I’ve been anxious to hear more. There are plenty of characters we expect to [...]
