As everyone who reads PlusXP should now be aware, I’m a massive point and click fan, and I truly love Telltale Games. I’ve also been reviewing the new season of Sam and Max, subtitled “The Devil’s Playhouse” episode by episode. This time, we’re continuing from the stellar “Tomb of Sammun-Mak” with the promising “They Stole Max’s Brain!”
Leaving off directly from the end of the previous episode, Telltale Games don’t hesitate to take you on another incredible adventure of mystery and hilarity in the second episode of the Devil’s Playhouse season. The Tomb of Sammun-Mak is not only better than the Penal Zone, but could possibly be one of the best episodes of the Sam and Max series.
So, the return of the intrepid duo of a suit-wearing dog, and a hyperkinetic rabbity thing, otherwise known as Sam and Max, the freelance police. A couple of years after Season 2, Telltale Games have come back with a brand new overhaul to the Sam and Max Series. Included are new graphics, a new gaming engine, overhauled inventory and dialogue systems, and a brand new way to play.
