The Next Level In Gaming

Ninja Gaiden is a franchise I have always been a fan of. Ever since I got my gaming mitts on Ninja Gaiden Black for the original Xbox I have been hooked. Maybe it’s because of the difficulty level, or the fact you are a ninja cutting people and demons up piece by piece. I mean lets face it, Ninja’s in general are awesome. At Eurogamer this year I had the opportunity to play the 3rd installment in the Ninja Gaiden [...]

Hack and slash games for me have become one of my favorite video game genres, ever since I first got my hands on Devil May Cry 3 (The first DMC I ever played) I have had a love for them. The way you can mix up attacks with different weapons plus the fact you feel awesome taking down several enemies at one time with a flick of few buttons. It is definatly a satisfying game genre. Most hack and slash [...]

Good games based on manga/anime series in my opinion are few and far between. Hell any games that are based on either a film/cartoon/pther media haven’t been a roaring success, sure there have been some ok ones, such as the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game, or The Lord Of The Rings: The Third Age. But to me games such as these haven’t been the greatest in my opinion. But I have always gone by the mentality that games shouldn’t be judged [...]

RPG games for me are a mixed bag, there are very few I can really get into and enjoy to the full. The Fable series defiantly being one of them, Borderlands and Fallout 3, again some great RPG titles. But some of what I would say the more traditional ones I really can’t get into for some reason.Games such as most of the Final Fantasy titles for some reason I can’t really fully immerse myself into. So when I went [...]

The 3rd person shooting genre for me is a hard genre to get around. I have always been brought up with FPS games.  So when seeing the camera behind the protagonist as opposed to seeing the whole game through a first person view in a shooting game it feels a bit strange for me. With that said I have grown a custom to the 3rd person shooter when I played Gears Of War. That game brought a whole new breed [...]

3rd person shooters have rocketed in the past few years, ever since the release of Gears Of War, the 3rd person shooting genre has been going from strength to strength. There have been various competitors to take the Gears Of War 3 podium and many have failed. But here is a promising new competitor that I have a strong feeling that will knock Gears off the top spot. I present to you, Quantum Theory.

Trying to get into the video games world is a tricky task. Trickier then say Ikaruga or World at War on Veteran. Specifically, gaming journalism it seems is the first ideal foot in the doorway for any other job in the gaming industry. This makes gaming journalism extremely competitive and career possibilities few and far among. About a year ago a thought ran across my mind- Hmm I want to make money, BUT I want to play video games while [...]
