It’s finally here. It’s all over. Telltale Games’ finale to their series of Back to the Future is finally here, and in style. After a story that’s spanned several alternative timelines and even alternative versions of characters fans of the series have come to know and love, it all ends with OUTATIME! The last time we left Sam and Max, they were about to be set upon by a horde of clones of our lovable but chubby Sam. The penultimate episode of the third series of Sam and Max begins with you holed up in Stinky’s Diner fighting off the Samulacra in an episode which looks set to challenge “The Tomb of Sammun-Mak” as the best of the season so far. A couple of years after Season 2, Telltale Games have come back with a brand new overhaul to the Sam and Max Series. Included are new graphics, a new gaming engine, overhauled inventory and dialogue systems, and a brand new way to play.
My love of TelltaleGames has been repeatedly well documented. From their origins in reviving the Sam and Max series from Lucasarts Games after the cancellation of Full Throttle 2 and Sam and Max: Freelance Police, they have since gone on to thrive.
